I am currently at my highest weight ever. Life has been hard as it can be for many of us. I know my story is no different than any body else but this is how I got to be where I am today. I work at a high stress job, which I love the challenge, but it does a lot of wear and tear on the mind. 2013- 2014 I was having to take care of everything at home and work in addition, I was taking care of my husband who was having health issues. Then, we worked on his recovery and he is doing great; however, in 2015 we move my chronic sick mother in with us since she did not need to be alone due to her health. I was her primary caregiver , with help from my retired husband. I would get up through the night to check on her as I was always worried, we had cameras baby monitors and anything we could think of to keep an eye on her condition. However, this cause a lot of stress eating, nothing like grabbing a handful of M&M or cookies on the way. Lots of stress eating. However, I would not change a thing about our life as it was such an honor to take care of mother until the day she pass on December 20, 2016. So, now I have decided it is time to take care of me, one step at a time. I have been walking for the past 3 months, but now I am trying to improve my food choices. So wish me luck, I will battle for anything I feel is important and face each challenge so why should my health be any different??? There is nothing easy in this world if it is then it probably isn't worth it!!

My Goals:
I am unsure as to what my number is that I am looking for. I truly believe once I reach a healthy weight of 170 and continue on my exercise plan, I may stop then. However, I am hoping that I will have enough sense to listen to what my body tells me.


My Program:
I am learning how to live without sugar, and white bread each day. Even though I do slip and have it on occasion; this is better than having it every day for snacks and meals. I am learning to listen to my body and how it responds to food.



Personal Information:
I love my role as a Grandmother and wife. God has blessed our family with a new Foster Grandchild, who is 2 months old, he is the 11th. I now have 9 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Life is Good...I associate my weight loss story to the Tortoise and the Hare...can you guess which one I am??
