this has been a long journey.. if i had to say i would say i'm in the third stage. stage one and two were very long for me. i have just in the last year developed insight and began to put it into practice. in the last few months i have been more consistent in practicing my "skills". it is like the allegory of the cave.. i could not see myself going back. i feel better than ever as a whole and i just want to keep moving forward. my goal initially was a number my goal now is just to be ...

My Goals:
my true goals that have motivated me to work towards are smaller attainable ones. motivators have been things i could have never made up or have known that i would be so driven by. i have an ultimate number in mind but the bigger motivator is to be healthier to feel good .. my eye is currently to get to 199

My Program:
only doing things i can live with in my daily, weekly, everyonce and while changes. no deprivation for me :) the better i feel mentally and physcially the easier the better choices are to make. accountability to someone to something has helped. sparkpeople has recently helped me get out of these months full of ruts.

Personal Information:
i'm a country girl.. i'm a family girl.. i'm a hippie girl

i am strong

"Though no one else can guarantee your success, you can guarantee it by making the commitment to do whatever you must do.
You can guarantee it with your intention, your focus, your action and your persistence.
Today, tomorrow, in any place, whatever the situation, you can make a difference, for your own life, and for your world.
Grab that opportunity, make the most of it every chance you get, and you'll guarantee your own success."
-- Ralph Marston

"We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference,
ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee."
–Marian Wright Edelman

"Start today, not tomorrow. I don't care what your addiction is or if it's a dream, do not wait for tomorrow because it'll never come or it'll come 10/15 years later and you'll have wasted so much of your life and your dreams."
-Ruby Gettinger

“You've failed many times, although you may not remember.
You fell down the first time you tried to walk.
You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim, didn't you?
Did you hit the ball the first time you swung a bat? Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the most home runs, also strike out a lot.
R.H. Macy failed 7 times before his store in New York caught on.
English novelist John Creasy got 753 rejection slips before he published 564 books.
Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times, but he also hit 714 home runs.
Don't worry about failure. Worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try.”
-Unknown

Happy weekend, Sparkfriend! I hope your day is going great and that you had a successful week. If you have a bad day (or bad week), don't you even think of giving up! Hang in there, and remember to give yourself a brand new start as often as needed. I believe in you!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Speak quietly to yourself & promise there will be better days.
Whisper gently to yourself and provide assurance that you really are extending your best effort.
Console your bruised and tender spirit with reminders of many other successes.
Offer comfort in practical and tangible ways - as if you were encouraging your dearest friend.
Recognize that on certain days the greatest grace is that the day is over and you get to close your eyes.
Tomorrow comes more brightly...”
