My Goals:
I want to live a long, happy, healthy life.

I want to keep my blood sugar under control to avoid the health complications that accompany diabetes.

I want to have physical and emotional energy for all aspects of my life.

My Program:
Reduced carb diet - somewhere between Atkins and Diabetic diet.

Exercise 30 minutes 5x a week.

Pray daily.

Scripture reading daily.

Personal Information:
I am an Arizona native, stay-at-home-mother to 3 children: one is a teenager, one is a grade-schooler, and one is an infant. I have my hands full!

In the past year I lost my parents -- Mom May 2008, Dad June 2009. This weighs heavily on my spirit, in fighting depression as well as having motivation to get my blood sugar under control.

My husband had bariatric surgery in July 2009, so we are both working on our health.

Other Information:
I am a total couch potato! I love TV! Reality shows, crime dramas, Food Network, I'm addicted.

I am also addicted to sugar (trying to control this) and diet Coke (not trying to control this so much! LOL)

Welcome back. I wish you much success in meeting all your goals. I too am a couch potato. I like HGTV, crime dramas, TLC. I have started going to the gym and doing some exercising at home. It is hard for me to keep motivated. Any little thing will throw me off track.

Sorry about your losing your parents. I lost my dad several years ago and I know how hard it can be. I'll keep you in my prayers.
