A little bit at a time...

Every little bit helps. I think that If we slip a little then all we have to do is realize that we made the mistake and then we know how to avoid repeating the same mistakes again and again.

I have had a rough start to life. My first love died when I was 19 in a motorcycle accident after a 16 year old kid ran him over. Next step in my life I met someone new and then got pregnant, after I told him yes I would marry him. As the months went on I would gain 12 pounds plus per week and ...

I have had a rough start to life. My first love died when I was 19 in a motorcycle accident after a 16 year old kid ran him over. Next step in my life I met someone new and then got pregnant, after I told him yes I would marry him. As the months went on I would gain 12 pounds plus per week and my dr's didn't think anything of it. Before my son was born I was 210 pounds. Up from about 110. After he was born, I had only lost 6 pounds and he was almost an 8 pound baby. Figure that out. I got married three months later. About one year later I was diagnosed with a Rhabdoid Meningioma. A brain tumor. I was only 22. After surgery having most of it removed, they found out that the tumor was cancerous. So then came radiation treatments. As a result of this rare brain tumor I had to spend six weeks away for radiation away from friends, family, and my one year old son. It has been a little over a year since all that has happened. I am now turning 25 in a couple of months. I have just begun to get back to my old self but I feel like I am not myself at all. I am ready to lose this weight but as hard as it is, I really want to get my story out there to be heard and to hear others so that they to can overcome great tragedies in their lives. Please post your story and lets find support from each other!

Thank you for your comment and tips on my blog. I guess it's possible I do look down, probably at the display. I will keep that in mind. I love to walk outside, but it is very hot and muggy today...lol. I will definitely walk outside when possible. Then I can take my daughter too, which is much better than her being occupied by the TV while I'm on the treadmill.

I use a pedometer when I walk, but will look up that app too. Do you know if you can save your distance so it accumulates as you progress?

I would like thoughts on people telling you that your not fat but you feel fat no matter what they say. I hear it all the time and I'm not sure what to do. What are your methods for keeping with everything when hearing these comments. emoticon
