DAY BY DAY - I CAN DO IT!

I'm about to turn 50 OH MY! I had told myself that I would loose 50 lbs before I turned 50 and my husband would take me on a fabulous cruise. That didn't happen (or won't by next month when I turn the big 50). I need to get serious about improving my health and quit using food to relieve stress and be my friend when I'm lonely.

My Goals:
My short term goal is to be aware of the amount and type of food I eat daily. Get moving! See the scale going back down instead of UP.
My first mid-term goal is to loose 10 lbs and the second mid-term goal is to get under 200 (yeah).
The ultimate goal is to loose 75 lbs and get off my meds.

My Program:
Admit that I am not doing very well ignoring the problem.

Stop thinking that I can eat whatever I want and the weight will magically drop off - it dropped on that way didn't it. :)

Be accountable to myself to track what I eat and my exercise.

Get support from other Spark People.

Personal Information:
I'm originally a Northeast Gal who headed West for my young adult years and have made my way back to the south to be closer to family and raise my own.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Zumba is great fun. The thing to remember is to move right when the instructor and class move right, and move left when they do the same. Otherwise, just have fun! I tend to get a little too much into doing the moves just right, so I have to remind myself to just move! It's about the workout, not perfection.

I hope you get a chance to try Zumba. Let me know if you do!
