Dawn's Weight Loss Journey

I am a 38 year old stay-at-home mom of 2 kids. I have been overweight most of my life, with the exception of 1 near success! I have never been very athletic but I do love the outdoors except in the winter...my skin gets very dry and my joints and muscles ache, and I just get overall depressed in the winter, therefor I don't get out and exercise much in the winter! I am tired of being overweight. It is just plain uncomfortable. I want to get this under control while I am relatively young, especially before I am 40. I have only been near successful using medication but this time it isn't an option. I've always felt that I didn't have the willpower, because that is what I believed everytime I started a diet. So I gave myself permission to fail, and it was much easier than accepting the challenge and believing in myself.

My Goals:
My short term goal is to lose weight before my vacation this summer. I am taking a flight and I fear that I will either have to ask for a belt extender or "overflow" into the seats beside me.
SW - 306lbs.
1stGW - 250lbs
2ndGW - 200lbs
DGW - 165lbs

My Program:
First I am going to make an effort to stay within my cals, carbs, fat, etc. I am going to try to drink my water. I am going to try walking daily for 30 mins minimum regardless of the weather. I also like swimming so I am going to try doing that as a family activity.
