Finding myself along the way
Where has the time gone? I joined SP in June 2009 with the goal of going from 147 lbs down to 127 lbs. I've re-evaluated my goals and have decided to go down to 120 lbs. and then work on maintaining that. I am finding myself along the way too and am now much more open to suggestions by others (previously I'd have taken the suggestions as critisism). I have found my journey to a healthier body has also made it a journey of a healthier mentality. I have learned from reading articles here at Spark that it's alright to get rid of the toxic people in your life, those that don't support your efforts to change and to embrace those who help to hold you up and are a positive influence on you. I have also found support and friendship here at Spark and hope that I have returned those qualities to the commuity. If I can do this anyone can. My Goals:
**ORIGINAL** I'm hoping to go from 147 pounds to about 130 in the next 6 months. **March 24, 2010** To maintain my weight in and around the 120 pound mark. ***Revised Goal- to get to 120 lbs. by December 15th, 2009.*** ***Another revision on my goal. I want to reach 120 lbs. by my birthday in January (I think the 120 by Dec. 15th was a bit ambitious)*** Reached 127 lbs on Dec. 14, so original goal met! Reached 120 lbs on March 8, 2010. Didn't reach before my deadline but I am HAPPY!!
My Program:
Right now I am using a combination of Wii Fit, My Fitness Coach (Wii), Golds Gym Cardio Workout (Wii) as well as various DVD workouts (eg. Walk Away the Pounds and Pilates). I also use a reel mower to cut my lawn each week (45 minutes of this and I am a sweaty mess).
Personal Information:
I am from British Columbia Canada, married with 2 girls and a cat. I have a love of all things Zelda and Guitar Hero/Rock Band related and of course my Wii gets me working out :) I also LOVE my XBOX Kinect!!
Other Information:
I love to knit, crochet, read and I also enjoy cross stitch and video games. My favorite author is Stephen King. My favorite games are for the Wii and the Nintendo DS. My favorite time of year is Hallowe'en and the heart of autumn in general (October is my favorite month).
