A Needed Lifestyle Change

Hi, I am Darlene, I live in Winston, Oregon. I weigh 238 with a need to get down to 180, possibly get down further depending on how I feel. I had a battery of tests during my yearly physical and found out I have a fatty liver. This is not good but it is not all that bad. The weight loss is an order from my doctor. She also wants me to get some excercise. Getting exercise, eating the right foods and losing weight will break down the fat on my liver.

Hopefully starting this will help ...

Hopefully starting this will help me get more motivated at home, I hate exercising alone. This is going to be very difficult for me being I am 100% disabled. I have had a disc fusion in my neck and stil have a herniated disc above the fusion. I also have two protruded discs in my lower back. However, I am positive I can find low impact exercises to do.

I am new to this kind of stuff. I joined to track excecise, food and expecially the amount of calories and fat in the foods I eat. This is what the doctor wants me to do. She wants me to print this out every two weeks so she can watch what I am doing. I am going to join a few forums in hopes to receive some feedback and motivation.

There is always my roommate to exercise with, if I can get him motivated... LOL ... I am sure I can once I start again. The only thing I do not think I can get him to do is Zumba. But I am going to give it the ole college try!!

Hi there! Yes, I have had issues to deal with over the last 2 yrs. but I just have had to bite the bullet and take care of ME. It is difficult, but I always tell myself NEVER impossible!

Thanks for reading my blog -- and by all means get out there and walk your puppy. You need it and so does she! Try it a couple of times and see if it doesn't give you a real sense of accomplishment. I'll bet your dog will get addicted to it after just two or three times and love it.
