Time to Re-start and Re-spark

UGHHH!!! Got on the scale today. 320 pounds!

That means all of the weight I lost two years ago, has decided to 'mysteriously' reappear.

There is no mystery, however.

After my bike crash, I 'let go' of all my great lifestyle changes.

No more exercise (not motivated). No more 'healthy food choices' (again, "who cares" - I was just happy to be alive).

It certainly was not surprising, then, that all the weight came 'crashing ...

That means all of the weight I lost two years ago, has decided to 'mysteriously' reappear.

After my bike crash, I 'let go' of all my great lifestyle changes.

No more exercise (not motivated). No more 'healthy food choices' (again, "who cares" - I was just happy to be alive).

It certainly was not surprising, then, that all the weight came 'crashing back'.

Then I got sick in Colorado, just last week.

The doctor gave me a big scare once again. He told me that my blood pressure was at 'stroke level' - and that while he was going to give me some BP meds to control it, that I HAD to do something about it. So I am.

I know what I need to do - and I have done it - I just need to 'dig a little deeper' and get back do it. So I am on a road to loosing 80 pounds again - by January 30, 2017 - that's 1 to 2 pounds a week.

I have done it before - I know I can do it again.

I'm baaaack.! Onward!

My Goals:
- Lose 80 more pounds on the way to losing more than 100 pounds in order to live a much more healthy lifestyle again.

My Program:
I hope to walk, swim, and hopefully return to cycling and a little weight training. But it was my passion for cycling that helped me shed 80 pounds, and I am going to try to return to what works.

I have learned that becoming healthy (and losing weight) is a holistic process of nutrition, hydration, exercise and sleep.

Personal Information:
I live in Seoul, South Korea and work with a IT contractor for the US military. I'm not very comfortable with revealing to much personal information, so if you want to chat, you'll have to send me a spark-mail.

Other Information:
I believe that learning to love yourself, love others, develop meaningful relationships, and laughing alot are the most important things in life.

Hang in and hang on. I know you are going to get back in shape. Don't let me race walk past you on your bike.

Good job Dave! Keep going emoticon

emoticon emoticon emoticon The Motivator of the Day.

Jack LaLanne lived to age 96 and worked out two hours every single day. His dad died at age 50 from heart failure and Jack was a sickly child, so he knew he had to work hard as his odds weren't good. He showed what a positive attitude and hard work can do. Jack always said you can't work your body to hard because it just gets stronger to meet the challenge you give it.
