Hello, my name is Laura. I just turned 34 and my current weight is 260lbs. I have struggled with weight most of my life. I will admit that I fit into this category of being a compulsive eater, and it is something that I battle everyday to overcome. I just re-found SP and I am glad I did. I have been using so many of the tools and I am now beginning a new journey on weight loss and health. I am tired of being this weight. I am so uncomfortable all of the time, and I feel that I am missing out on life. It's like I can see it flashing by me. I don't want to leave my 30's being this way. I want to LIVE them. And I want to some day have kids and I don't want to have them when I am like this. I would just be bringing them into a horrible life. So, I am determined to lose weight this time, and with the help of all my spark friends, I am already succeeding! And I WILL succeed!

My Goals:
My goal is to get down to 130lbs and to be fit and healthy. I would like to be able to play some sports, since I loved to do that when I was younger. I LOVE to play tennis, but I am so out of shape that I have no stamina to play for long. And I just want to live a long and healthy life and not have to worry about weight related sicknesses and such.
My Program:
I am currently doing Atkins. I am on induction and I plan to stay on induction for a while since I have a lot of weight to lose. I want to continue with the Atkins WOL even after I meet my goal weight. I also work out at the gym about 6 days a week. I do cardio for 45 minutes and weight training after that. I have only been at it for about a month, but I have already seen some of the changes.

Hi! My name is Laura. I am 34 years old and I live on Long Island, New York. I have a great job driving little kids to school on my school bus. I have been a member of SP since last year, but I didn't do anything with it until I re-found it in 2009. In 2010, I renewed my commitment to my weight loss and added "healthy" in there as well. I have stepped up my game and I have left no more room for failure!
Other Information:
My Goals: To be able to walk with my arms completely down beside me. To be able to fit in the seat of the Swings ride at Adventureland. To shop in the ladies department at a clothing store and not the women's section. To Want to go clothes shopping. To be active and to do things that I never thought I could because of my weight. And most of all, I want to have children. And that's just not possible now with my weight.
