Central New York is beautiful. We get a lot of snow (Syracuse regularly gets the most snow of any big city in the US, and because of elevation, I get far more than they) but the summers are cool and breezy. I consider myself very fortunate, despite the occasional hardships.
I see you also "cook for one." That, I think, is the hardest part of widowhood - bothering to make interesting and healthy meals. I do the slow-cooker thing a lot, too. 1338 days ago
