I want to be a healthy mom

I'm a mom that works part time and this is my second year of being a full-time student. I graduate this spring (YEAH!!), and I'd like to both feel and look confident for job interviews. Finding the time and the motivation has been difficult and I lost the capability of running races and race training, at least for now. I've added 25lbs in the last year and I'm hiding in my clothes. It's a chore to put on jeans or anything else that is tight, so I live in "stretchie" pants and long tops.

I'm frustrated because I've already lost this weight once (or more) and I don't want to keep yo-yoing back and forth. I want to find a lifestyle I can support and maintain and that I can teach, by example, to my daughter. I'm doing it this time, and I'm going to quit starting over!!!

My Goals:
I would like to lose 50 pounds and get control of my eating and drinking. I have a bad back (bulging discs), and if I can get some of this weight off, its going to do a lot for the pain I have. I'm a genuine FOODIE and I love it!!! So, I need to track and make sure I'm getting the things I need in the right porportions.

My Program:
I need to try a different program for weight loss. Running is not an option currently, so I need to swim and bike and utilize pilates and yoga to strengthen and heal my body.

Thank you for the comment on my status. It's incredibly tough to be in this position. I haven't been handling it very well. I know it would probably be good for me to be an all around athlete, but part of me is sulking and bitter over this too. Time to pick myself up and move forward.
