Hi! I'm a 50+ nurse with 55 pounds too many! My doctors are insisting that I lose some of the baggage (physical and metaphysical) to get healthier and take less medication. I guess my motto for now had better be "Stay Alive - Drop 55!"

My Goals:
I had lost all the way to my goal weight once, then regained nearly all of it. Now I'm starting again. I want to get back down to about 165.

Personal Information:
I'm a happily married lady with 2 grown children. I live in Arkansas and since I've been here longer than all my other homes combined, I consider myself a successfully transplanted Arkansan.

Other Information:
My motto, for now, is "Stay Alive, Drop 55!"

Hi Danilott, sorry I didn't see your comment until today! No, my upper back doesn't really burn, but the nerves in my arms get very tight leaving my hands, elbows and sometimes shoulders in a lot of pain. My PT says its from repetitive motion like typing but recommended I strengthen the muscles around my shoulder blades and upper arms using a theraband. So far it seems to be getting better (as long as I work out!)

Thank you for your advice on the med weaning/stopping. I decided not to do anything to the dosage for now. I talked to a couple of my friends and asked them if they'd seen a huge difference in me before the Cymbalta till now and the overwhelming response was, "YES! DON'T QUIT YOUR MEDS!". I'm thanking God that I have friends who will tell me the truth and not just agree with whatever. So thanks again. I appreciate your taking the time to give me that advice. emoticon
