Master of my plate. . .Captain of my goal

In the brilliant Clint Eastwood movie titled Invictus, Nelson Mandela tells how he recited the English poem of the same name to other South African prisoners and was empowered by its message of self mastery. The last two stanzas are probably familiar to most as they read: "I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul." With apologies to William Henley, the poem's author, I have take "poetic license" with his words to create a title for my page that reflects my detrmination to finally ...

Developing a sensible food plan, getting recommended excercise each day, drinking more water, eating more PROTIEN and fewer carbs and tracking my progress

Thank you for your encouragement! I loved number 6 in the list, "get an attitude adjustment." Too true. I remember one of the SP things about starting small and building momentum. So, right now I am working on getting out of my current and crazy binge cycle. I have been sitting her thinking about candy for the last 3 hours. WHAT??? Yeah, I need an attitude adjustment. I need to find something else to think about. Keep myself distracted. Thanks again for the words of wisdom!
