Baby had back!

Hi there! I'm Danielle- a 27 year old living in Green Bay, WI. I've lost 94lbs so far and hoping to lose another 60! I read about this site in a People magazine article about people being half their original size. That's my goal.

I started my journey at 300lbs and after one full year I lost 92.5. Now I'm beginning my second year of living healthy and loving fitness.


I love to run, so that's what I've been doing!

Here's my story:

I went to my annual appointment, and weighed in at 300 lbs. Holy ****! I had gained 25 pounds since the year before, which was partially due to my termination with cigarettes. (11/19/09)) My best friend and I always joke about being bigger, and I have always had good self-esteem (I got lucky) but she on the other hand wasn't so lucky. I have half my entire boy weight to lose.

When I meet my goal my friend and I will head back to Las Vegas so we can bathe in the sun (confidently), Walk down the strip (without difficulty), fly on a plane (comfortably), and have ourselves am amazing time (happily).

***UPDATE***Change of plans! We are thinking about Universal Studios/Disney Trip now instead. I want to see Harry Potter World, and Universal has plenty of clubs/bars to party at. Not sure yet, but it will be a $1500 trip minimum!

I am following the old weight watchers program- maybe I'll check out the new program soon. It seems a lot more involved.

Any workout advice, Weight Watchers suggestions or anything else you want to share is well appreciated!!

UPDATE: 2/5/13
Well I've signed up for a half marathon. Never in my life would I have thought I could even attempt walking one. Now I'm following an 18wk schedule and May 19th is the big day! It's great for weight loss too ;) Check my blogs for updates!

My Goals:
Ultimate goal weight= 150lbs. But really I just want to be comfortable, fit, happy and confident.
I am 5'4" with a large body frame.

I want to run a 10K.

Next Summer, a half marathon.

I want to run a 5K in under 25 minutes.

I want to run an 8 minute mile.

I want to tone up this extra skin and lose even more of the fat in me.

I want to see how healthy I can be.

I want to keep my life as awesome as it has been. Losing weight helped me find who I am and the life I want to live. It also found me a great boyfriend in the process ;)

My Program:
I began Weight Watchers program October 13th, 2010. I am sticking to the Lifestyle Change motto. I use SparkPeople as my main motivator- i could not have come this far without it. I do use my fitness pal to log exercise and nutrition- so much simpler, especially on my iphone app.

I have begun to run outside a lot more and am absolutely falling in love with it. I realized that treadmills are liars and I run 5K at about 10:40/mi. Working on getting a great time for 10K!



Personal Information:
I am 27, from Green Bay, WI. I have an office job sitting about 8 hours a day.

I am really enjoying workouts. I go to Gold's Gym (only $18/mo!) and take classes or use the equipment. My favorite workout is running- I love the feeling I get and I am slowly getting better at it!

I like to go out, go to movies, discover new music and read. The normal 20-something hobbies!

Other Information:
LOVE: Paris, postcards, rollerblading, biking, tennis, traveling, road tripping, concerts, malls, money, organizing, Las Vegas, bars, jazz lounges, the fall, snow, snowboarding, Christmas, food!

Turkey Day was great, thanks. I hope you had a pleasant holiday as well. The sad fact is I have gained almost 30 lbs back. I KNOW! WTF right? I can't seem to get my groove back. But I'm gonna try again. I know I can lose it, I just have to do it. I have eaten well today and went for my first run in I-dont-know-how-long. Wish me luck! :) Reading your last blog seems like you are getting it back on track. W2G!! I know you can do it.

Love your status today. I was just checking in on some Sparkfriends. I am sitting here daydreaming about eating lunch. I think after 4 days of spaghetti squash for lunch, I am ready for a change. I love the stuff though...can't beat a huge bowl of spaghetti for under 200 calories. I hope you are having a great day. I wish I were in Wisconsin. We were supposed to visit in November but looks like it will be next Summer instead. Take care!
