Constantly trying to diet and lose weight is never fun... it never will be... it is time for a CHANGE!

I am losing weight to become a happier person inside and out. It is the ONLY way to become a healthier person and stay away from potential diseases.

I am young and I want to SEE and EXPERIENCE what is still out there. The main question is… how can I if I have all this weight keeping me down?



I wouldn't be working out if it wasn't for my Dad. He saw how I was not acting like myself and could tell that something was wrong.

The thing is... I didn't even notice that there was something wrong. He signed me up at Bally’s and we both went three times a week and worked out for one hour. We had so much fun tackling the machines and we were getting exhausted together.

I had lost 20 pounds and couldn’t loose anymore… that’s when my stomach started to hurt during the workouts and it felt like it was hard. I went to the doctor immediately and went through a whole bunch of tests.

What did they find?

A cyst that was so big that they couldn’t even see my right ovary. They call it a Dermoid cyst which develops from the ovary. Not nice is it?

The doctors were so surprised and told me that I was too young to ever get that.

Did it help to tell me that? No.

I automatically started panicking because I don’t have children. I was told over and over again that if I hadn’t lost those 20 pounds I would never had known and it would have gotten worse.

I was fortunate that they didn’t have to perform a hysterectomy but one ovary did have to go and I lost even more weight… 20 pounds of the cyst. As I was recovering horrible news was given to me to give the cake a bitter coat of icing, even though Dermoid cysts are typically benign mine had cancer cells in it. More drama to go through but I made it out by the skin of my teeth.

I am a SURVIVOR and I learned from it all. It is in the past but the experience is a constant reminder to keep fighting for a better HEALTHY life!
