I honestly gained about 21lbs from the middle photo because I quit exercising and tracking my food. I wanted to see what would happen and I was getting burned out on my routine. I quickly learned the difference and got back into exercising...let me say I was feeling sluggish without exercise! hmmm

Today, I'm down 7 pounds and on my way to losing more. I continue to look at labels and consider healthier options like whole wheat bread, fruits, veggies, and water. Along with the exercise I was able to compare how bad I felt when I ate bad foods.

People say I still look great but now I'm dealing with just plain joint soreness and possibly arthritis...need to get that checked out!

Anyway, I LOVE Sparkpeople and I think it's because SP loves people...all people. I like that. I like to see people take so much consideration for others and create such a helpful website. SP rocks!

Before:
When I started out on SP in August of 2007 I was at 177 lbs and I had a 40 inch waist. I wore about a size 12-14 pants. Thanks to Sparkpeople I lost 28lbs and came down to about a size 7/8 and even maintained the weight for a couple of years.

I continue to have a vision of myself...being healthy...eating healthy...feeling great...and looking great. For God, my family and me!

So, don't give up...each day you keep trying is another day you conquered and you'll get stronger!

God bless you!

My Goals:
I would like to get into the habit of a healthy lifestyle for a longer future and as an example to my family and friends.

This includes exercising 5 days a week instead of 3. Eating more fruits and vegetables and search for more satisfying foods without the FAT!

My Program:
I plan to stick with SparkPeople to track my success and remain focused with my long term goals. I hope to learn about healthier foods and habits so that I can share them with my family. I believe it's important to live what I teach.

Read the articles for education and motivation. Keep drinking that water!

Personal Information:
I was born in Colorado and raised in Wyoming until the age of sixteen. I am now living in the South.

I love my life because I have a close relationship with the Lord. He's opened my eyes to my foolish ways and I try to lean completely on Him.

He's blessed me with a beautiful family and home. He's blessed me with peace and He's given me strength and knowledge to overcome my weaknesses.

It's just true!

Other Information:
I like educational games like Scrabble or cards. I enjoy the outdoors; working in the yard or going for walks. I love to spend time with my family. Last but not least I have a passion for music ministry. I love to sing it and enjoy listening to others singing it!

You are absolutely gorgeous! (just had to say that)

I do have issues with my knees, and I recently saw a sports med doctor about it. He suggested running on the treadmill as much as possible, because it's easier on my joints. I noticed a huge difference when I started running on the treadmill! I still do my long runs out side, but my shorter ones are on the treadmill now. It's boring, but it is helping my knees, it's worth it :) The doctor told me that asphalt is better than concrete, a track is better than asphalt, and a treadmill is better than a track as far as my joints go.

Hope this answers your question!
