Ready to have the time of my life - like never before

I look forward to this new year where the slate is clear and I can begin again to work on me personally and physically. Losing weight is the primary goal, but it's ultimately to lead me to living a healthier, more active life style.

My Goals:
I have a long way to go in losing the weight that I've put on over the past 5 years. I want to use this entire year to effectively take off the weight and manage a healthier lifestyle.

I would also like to train as a runner again and work my way from 5k's, 10k's, and hopefully to half-marathons.

My Program:
I'm going to use the Body for Life method that a friend has introduced me to. I will work out everyday (even if it's something simple for 15-20 minutes). I want to build up to being more effective whether it's to take fitness classes, play tennis, or begin dancing again.

Personal Information:
I live in South Louisiana - good times and good food, all of which when not in moderation can lead you down the wrong path.

Other Information:
I enjoy live music and dancing. A few years ago, I was active with salsa dancing and also took Argentine Tango lessons many years ago. I'm not the best, but I love it anyways :)

Just stopping by to say hi and see how everything is going for you. The last two weeks have been good for me as far as nutrition and exercise. Didn't lose anything last week, but lost two this week. I guess my body is just liking the one pound a week loss and I am not going to insist on more....Have a good week and keep sparking that's what keeps us connected. emoticon

You drown by staying there" This is a quote I have used on those days when I just can't get myself going..........doing the things I know I should and know that once I do them I feel much better.........................SO .......

I was looking through teams to join and noticed our weight is kind of similar so then clicked on you page & saw your supposed to be doing a thesis paper (im part time in college too & read some more. I too want to run in a 5K some day & also have lost 40 lbs 2x before and my last excuse was because of college! Good luck I know you can do it and you have given yourself a good amount of time to lose this too, by the way you said 9 months when is your bday, mine is 9/26
