I have put on weight since 1991 and am absolutely fed up with it.
I am over 60 and it is about time the weight gets dropped before it causes too much damage.

I've never blogged before so this is me with training wheels.

Update April 1: Training wheels are coming off, and I am slowly finding my way. This month, I will continue with current eating program and commit to a defined fitness goal.

Update May 2011 : Still on eating plan and have tweeked the exercise a little. I am presently doing Zumba + a set of floor exercises. The floor plan, as I call it, has certain things on certain days. I like to vary my approach with regard to exercise as I need to get mental about it. Some of the recorded plans drive me loopy after a bit, and I need to vary them. The floor plan does not have anyone yelling at you, and you can just turn on your own music if needed. If you can read, you can exercise!

Update June 2011: I did my six weeks on the floor plan. It was OK but I started getting bored towards the end of it. Then I had some non-weight loss problems arise and the exercise went out the window. I just did not have enough time in the day. Things have calmed down now and I am moving on to another program for a month. I took this one from Prevention Magazine. I think if I keep switching things up, it is better for me. I managed to get into Onederland at last. So onward and downward!

Targets and Rewards
199 ---gold bracelet upon entrance to Onederland. done 6/25/11

180 --Shoes other than sporty type. Fancy girl shoes.

160 --Handbag to go with Fancy girl shoes.

140 - Small but deadly accessory- nice scarf or similar

125-- New Hair Colour and maybe style.

Guilty because it's all about me. But I really need an update.


My Program:
I am doing the Fast Track Belly Fat Cure, and exercising using the Zumba CDs.

I have added a Jackie Warner 30 min CD which I alternate with the Zumba. Started 4/9/2011 with that. See how long it lasts before I want to throw it against the wall.

May 2011
Well, eating plan remains the same; stay between 1200 -1500 daily. Cut out sugar.
Exercise: still on the Zumba (so fun and uplifting) but I had to throw Jackie under the bus for this month. I am doing a six week floor exercise program, very defined. Started that May 1st so I do that + the Zumba. We will see what the end of May brings.
Update 5/19/11: I'm loving the floor plan. I can do it in silence or have music or news on in the background without it interfering. Apart from Zumba, most of the other DVDs become annoying really fast. So this program is 6 weeks long and I am half way. So far so good.
