Joining this site is for me, but also especially for my daughters, who need to see me loose weight and get in shape happily! I know I am overweight, have high cholesterol, a slightly high blood sugar, joint and muscle pain, fatigue, sometimes depression, and I am too stressed out for my health. I need to change the way I buy, plan, and cook food. I need to get into a regular exercise scedule. I am taking a lot of vitamins, including a regular multivitamin, glucosamine and chondroitin, gelatin, calcium with magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, a B complex, cinnamon, fish oil with the mercury taken out, vitamin E, and Bee Pollen. The vitamins help with joint pain and energy.

My Goals:
!. To drink eight glasses of water a day.
2. To track my diet and stick to a 1200 calorie diet.
3. To do cardio three times a week.
4. To do stretches with my video twice a day.
5. To do my back, neck and arm exercises every day.
6. To read my Bible every day, and pray every day.
7. To practice positive thinking.
8. To be a better listener.
9. To be a better encourager to others.
10. To get to church on Sunday and attend at least one Bible Study a week.
11. To make new friends

My Program:
I started walking, but not often enough.
I started using non-fat milk, cannola oil, and olive oil. I cut down on oil and sugar in recipes and in my coffee. I am drinking less coffee. I started making brown rice and dried beans and they came out tasting good.

Personal Information:
I live in snowy, cold Western Massachusetts and looking for exercise buddies or weight loss buddies. I love to swim. I used to love to hike, and bicycle, but have to loose some weight to get back into that.

Other Information:
The book I would not be without on a desert island is the Bible. I like historical Christian religious books, and old sermons and literature. I like historical novels, not so much romances, but family stories of life and survival. I like art, sewing, decorating, and crafts. I like to bake and cook as well, so I look for recipes that are low fat, low sugar, and natural.

Sounds like you know the types of things you need to be doing. When you are ready to make the sacrifice, you will. I can think of 100 ways to excercise while babysitting. I bet you will, too...When you want to. Examine your self-talk. Ask what do I get by weighing what I do now? Am I willing to give this up? You are getting something you want out of this or you wouldn't be doing it.

Hi there, I'm not sure if you are still active on Spark or not. I saw you on the Pioneer Valley Goalsetters map as possibly being in the Amherst area so I thought I'd say "HI!"

Thank you for the comment on my blog. I'm in school for counseling so I did my research very thoroughly before starting the St. John's Wort (no mood swings, thank goodness). I appreciate the idea of charting how much I take, how much sleep I'm getting and will be keeping that updated to see if there's any changes, good or bad.
Living with Bipolar Disorder is very difficult and l wish you luck (it sounds like you're doing well). Thank you and God bless!

Thank you so much for coming by my feed and reminding me that these times do come to us and we should receive them with joy. Sometimes they just sneak up on you and you forget for a minute.
Thanks again and have a blessed and Happy Easter!
