I apologize for neglecting to get back to you after you took the time to visit my sparkpage; but it was after all...summer! I guess I can safely say that it's over. I must admit though, although it got hot here (up to 98 degrees F) on occasion, I very much enjoyed the weather. It was nice to have a full summer without going to the extremes that so many of our states here in the USA had to endure. And the first half of September was so perfect with the hot days and warm evenings and cool mornings.

I have spent the summer mostly running to and fro with my hubby and when we have been home, we have had company or have been having friends or family gatherings while we can.

Now I guess I need to settle down again, clear the dust off my sparkpage and get busy again. Yes, I did gain weight over the summer; 5.7 pounds. Yes I enjoyed every moment of it, but I know my health is at stake here and I've gotta get back on the band wagon and set a new goal. I'd like to lose about 20 pounds by Christmas.
Sounds like a lot, but really it's only like 1.4 pounds a week. It's a strong enough goal to challenge me, yet possible. I wouldn't set it that high if I was plateauing, but I've been playing, so wish me the best.

Please keep in touch; I could use all the encouragement I can get and I'll try to do the same for you!
