Lose 200lbs by Fall 2014

Hello I have been a member since last August. When I joined it was for preperation for gastric bypass surgery. Since losing my insurance in October 2011 my reason has changed to stay a member. Just better overall health. The people I am around often have commented on my weight lose and I like the feeling associated with those comments. Decreased caloric intake and start an excersize program that I can stick to.


Personal Information:
I am from Canonsburg, PA. It is SW of Pittsburgh, "GO STEELERS!!!". I have been big all my life and things are starting to catchup with me health wise. I am single and help take care of my father. I am a part-time student and work in the hospitality industry.


Other Information:
I am a born again christian and very active in my church serving as the cordinator for parking attendants, and also as an usher.

Hello and welcome to SP! You will find a lot of things here that can help like the food and exercise trackers: its quite eye opening to see how many calories you are taking in and its very motivating to see how many calories you can burn...all in all it helps keep you on track. I would also suggest you set up your spark page and try to blog each day as it keeps aware of what is going on, can show you what may be a trigger, and lets you vent if you need and by adding some spark friends, gives them a chance to offer advice and support. We are all on the same journey and its nice to have someone here for you to give you a hand. Hope to be able to do this for you and maybe you can do the same for me too. Good luck!
