Long before J-Lo insured her "booty" and Beyonce introduced a thing called "Bootyliscious" - I was carrying around quite an asset myself. "Cute face, thin in the waist and an ass you can bounce a quarter off of" At least that's what I was told. Well, 20 years later, I'm chunky in the face, "thick" in the waist and an ass you can sit a cup of coffee on. What happened? Alicia Keys stole my body and I want it back!

I ORIGINALLY WROTE THIS DESCRIPTION MORE THAN 5 YEARS AGO. I'VE GAINED, LOST, AND GAINED AGAIN SINCE THEN BUT I'M BEYOND OVER THIS ROLLERCOASTR RIDE. I PRAY, WITH THE SUPPORT OF MY FRIENDS, I WILL WIN THIS "BATTLE OF THE BULGE" ONCE AND FORALL.

Fitness Minutes: 300

My Goals:
To at the very least, loose the 30 lbs. I gained between Jan. 2011 and July 2012 for starters. To feel like my boyfriend of 4 years is just as attracted to me as he was the day we first met.

2016 With my major health issue being behind me after a 3 year battle, it's time for me to stop making excuses and loose this dead weight. I want to be the size I was "post-pregnancy". I want to be able to shop ANYWHERE I want and not just the limited stores with plus size sections.


My Program:
I've been successful in the past with eliminating sodas from my diet, cut back on the sweet tea and sugar in general, eat salad or something "green" with Lunch and Dinner. Give Popeye's, McDonald's, KFC the boot. And get some physical activity going on a regular bases as in at least 5 times a week. There's 7 days in a week so this really shouldn't be a problem.



Personal Information:
I live in Northern VA and work at a local health dept. I love my job but that has been the only thing I've loved in my life lately outside of family and friends. I need to learn to love my body and accept the thinks I can not change about it (short legs) and change the things I can. Stop complaining, whining and just do it! ALTHOUGH THIS WAS 5/6 YEARS AGO, I CAN SAY I STILL FEEL PRETTY MUCH THE SAME WAY TODAY.


Other Information:
I'm a procrastinator and love coming up with excuses about why I can't exercise, why I should go to KFC instead of cooking, why I can't drink all that water everyday. But I'm stealing Nike's motto for my life these days - Just do it!
