Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I am 53 years old, live in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
I have a blended family and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
I would like to lose 50 lbs.
I lose 20, gain 20, lose 20, gain 20......
Just can''t ever seem to get where I want to be.
My goal is to lose 35-40 pounds and then to maintain.
Track food daily
I retired from a University as a Student Services Coordinator on August 1, 2015.
I am a Christian.
I have 3 children, 1 biological son, 1 step-son, and 1 step-daughter.
We have 5 grandchildren. What Joy!!!!
I love to read and to me a special treat is going to the movies, and yes the movie popcorn!
I try to exercise regularly and for the past few months have been doing spinning classes for 2 days each week as part of my work-out routine. I am trying to be more consistent with my strength training.

"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out.
We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive!
Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories."

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
Hi Sparkfriend, I hope you're having a fun and healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind, and keep doing your best to make progress towards reaching them. Never forget that you are always worth your very best effort!
