My Goals:
Starting weight: 224

My weight goals:

1st - get below 200 - DONE!
2nd - get to 180
3rd - get to 150

My other goal is to ultimately get my diabetes under control with diet and exercise, as much as possible, and get off my medications completely.

My Program:
I don't follow one specific type of diet, I choose to avoid processed foods, fast foods, sodas, etc. The foods I eat are whole foods, natural and fresh. I also follow a low-carb diet. I avoid grains and sugars as much as possible most of the time since those tend to cause my blood sugar to spike.

I guess you could say that I'm more of a Paleo/whole/clean food eater with a dash of Trim Healthy Mama thrown in.

I avoid processed/prepackaged food as much as possible and go with real food.

I go to the gym before work almost every weekday and usually focus on the weight machines. I alternate between upper body machines one day and lower body machines the next. I often stop at the gym on my way home and walk on the treadmill, then reward myself with the hydromassage bed and/or the total body therapy machine.

St. Valentine was jailed for continuing to secretly marry young lovers, defying Romans rules in the third century that insisted single men made better soldiers. For this he was sentenced to death and later named for the holiday celebrating lovers. But his act of love was his act of service to the soldiers.

February 14th is the day of love, and there's nothing more important all year. So, use it to give love, show gratitude and appreciation to all those people who've touched your life this year -- whether it's giving them a gift, a hug or a simple call. Bring some you made especially for your perpetually single best friend, call your grandparent you've been meaning to talk to, make some homemade soup or cookies for that person who did you that big favor this year. Honestly, it will make you feel incredible! And that's really what the day is about: spreading love, being of service, expressing your positive emotions and feeling good. Valentine's Day is about showing love. So take the commercialism out and put the true meaning into the day,

emoticon emoticon Today is the day to get off that couch. Smile more, go for a walk or start dancing....enjoy moving, laughing and feeling your body filled with energy. Our bodies are made for movement. The more we move, the better we feel! The healthier we become! One, two, three, get off the couch and move it! emoticon emoticon

Whenever you feel down or sad, please let me know...I am here for you. To be honest, I don't have the right words to make you feel better , but I can listen to what you need to say, and I do have a heart that aches to see you smile when you don't feel like it. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you for the advice on the T25 workout. I am liking that it is just 25 minutes so I can do another workout at night and not be committed to an hour or more at a time.
