I went to a private school in Portland, but I know of Canby highschool cause my dad and both my grandparents went there.
So about Rachael Ray's cookbook. I like it. There's a lot of kid friendly recipes in there for if you have them. She has a great breakfast section. I'm not a big fan of soup or "stoup" so that section is wasted on me. One thing I was happy about is that she didn't have a whole lot of her Greek recipes in there. I don't like kalmata or green olives, feta cheese or roasted red pepper and she seems to love them. But there wasn't much of that in there. She had stuff I've seen her cook on her talkshow that I thought looked yummy. The one thing that suck is that she doesn't have a dessert section, but that's ok. And if that doesn't help, all the proceeds to this book go to her Yum-o foundation. It's kind of win win. I probably didn't NEED this book, but I like to cook. Hope that's helpful.

first of all, I'm from portland, oregon. My husband and I are huge Duck fans! I actually don't live there now because my husband is in the military and they tell us where to live. But both of our families and our friends still live there.
I just joined the rachael ray spark team and i saw you were wondering if her new yum-o cook book is good. Well, my husband just got it for me as an early mother's day present (along with another one that is absolutely awesome-i can tell you about it if you want. it's diet friendly). As soon as i get a chance to look through it, I'll let you know what i think of it. emoticon
p.s. where did you go to school? i was wondering cause i see we graduated the same year. But then, you may not live in portland. just was curious.
