Making a Run for it!!

Hello, my name is Michele. I have been slowly losing weight over the last couple of years (started at 187 and am starting SP at 170 - so very slow!!). I have a cruise planned for September, so I am on a motivated kick to get the last 20 pounds gone!!!

I just finished reading "Born to Run" and it has completely changed everything I thought I knew about running, shoes and injuries. I am now working on becoming a barefoot runner and loving every minute of it!

My Goals:
* Weigh 150 lbs by 1 Sep 11

My Program:
I attend group fitness classes at the Y four days a week and meet with a personal trainer once a week. I also try to do a full body strength training workout at least one extra day a week. As of 21 May 11, I have completely cut sugar and refined carbs out of my diet and I couldn't be happier or feel healthier!!

Hello and TGIF! Do you have any big weekend plans? If not here are some ideas: Go to a local botanical garden (great walking and beautiful sights), visit a planetarium, visit an old friend or family member, have an old movie night and fix some air-popped popcorn (or drag the tv outside and have a "drive-in",) catch fireflies, go to the library and reread a favorite childhood book, have a sing-along in the backyard, or get a jump rope and 2 friends and do all those old schoolyard rhymes!

Just enjoy - life is short.
