Through seeing how being overweight has affected my health and my family's health, I've decided to really commit to lose weight. I really want to live a healthier lifestyle and feel better. It's funny- now that I'm more comfortable with my body than I've ever been, I'm actually ready and able to lose weight.

Weight loss progress:
8/27/07 Start weight: 170.5 lbs.
9/3/07 Week 1: 168.5 lbs.
9/10/07 Week 2: 165.5 lbs.
9/17/07 Week 3: 163.5 lbs.
9/24/07 Week 4: 164.0 lbs.
10/1/07 Week 5: 165.5 lbs.
1/4/08 Start weight: 165.5 lbs.
1/11/08 Week 1: 163 lbs.
1/18/08 Week 2: 161 lbs.

5/18/10 Here we go again!

Accomplishments:
1/19/08 I ran and walked about 9 miles in 116 minutes- I've never covered that much ground in that little time before!
1/26/08 I went the same distance as last week, but beat my record by 5 minutes! (9 miles in 111 minutes!)
2/8/08 I didn't give up when I gained 2 pounds!
2/9/08 I went 11 miles in 170 minutes. I walked most of the first half, so I know I was really booking it on the way back! I'm proud of the distance on this one more than anything.

My Goals:
-To fit into my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding on the 4th of July (Did it!)

-I might make another small goal after reaching 135, but we'll see how I look and feel then.


My Program:
Tracking my nutrition on SP and staying within recommended calories, eating foods I found I like but don't normally eat- such as certain vegetables and fruits. Also trying a lot of new foods so I don't get bored, which can lead to cravings.

Getting in walks with the dog, Random workouts with friends, Occasional elliptical and American Idol... haha I need to work on my program, as you can see.



Personal Information:
I rejoined this site, because the only time I've had successful weight loss and health improvement was while on SP.
I'm currently a nanny.
I'm 24, and I've slowly but surely kept gaining weight since I can remember. I may not look terribly overweight (even though I'm in the top of the "overweight" category, almost obese), but I can definitely feel a big difference in my health and energy levels. Most of my large family is overweight too. I'd like to reverse the trend. :)


Other Information:
I like walking/ running and playing DDR. I sing, play guitar, and write songs. I love viewing and creating all kinds of art. I really, really like ice cream and dark chocolate. I also love the whole "Biggest Loser" phenomenon.
