LOOKING UP FROM THE BOTTOM

I'm 65, have two daughters, 2 stepsons, 6 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, live in Delaware and am married to a passive-agressive guy, whom I believe really does want to see me achieve my goal, but has not idea of how to support me.

My Goals:
My goal is to loose weight and feel better. I detest the way I look right now.

My Program:
I have joined Curves in order to get moving. I've beeen very sedentary and need to get on the move.

Personal Information:
I live in Delaware and have found very few friends here. We moved here in 2001 from NY. I'm sure part of my problem is depression because I have no one to commiserate with. I've put on 20 lbs since we came here. Of course, some of the weight gain is due to cancer drugs I had to take for 5 yrs after a bout with breast cancer. Now I have to get it off!!

Thanks for your kind comments on my blog post. Have you ever seen an Endocrinologist? I also felt like I wasn't getting the appropriate care for my Diabetes from my primary care physician's office. I normally see the nurse practitioner there and it seems like they're always in such a rush. Last summer I was having a hard time getting my numbers under control and started seeing a specialist. She recommended Byetta, which is a medication you inject twice a day. At first the idea of that really bothered me, but it helped a lot and also helped me to lose a few pounds. I agree with your comments about WW, although before I was Diabetic, I loved the plan. As Diabetics, nothing is unlimited for us, and we really have to watch those carbs. Keep in touch! :)

I am SO very glad you are here! Not everyone knows the depth of our friendship, but they might get a clue as time goes on and I make comments or email you. I see nothing but positives for you from now on and I want you to know - I will be here (and there) for you for the duration.
You now have literally thousands of wonderful ladies rooting for you - gosh I'm so excited for you.

YOU CAN DO THIS

Love you,
Kathy
