Welcome back Cynthia! I am a leader on a few teams, so I pop in and out, and leave comments on blogs, spark pages and articles and recipes.

Your doing a great job exercising four days a week, but it would be more beneficial to you to do 6 or 7 days a week, even if it is for only 10 minutes a day the other days. Remember things like gardening, washing floors, vacuuming, cleaning closets count as exercise, too.

When you go to the bathroom, you can get a few wall push ups in and never even think about them, to come to be a habit, and if you remember after you leave, use another wall or closed door, it works!

Try drinking a glass of ice water as soon as you get up and eating 25 g protein within an hour of getting up. This will kick your metabolism into gear to lose weight through the day.

If you hit a plateau down the road, up your calories 500 for one day and then back down to low number in your calorie range, this will send a message to your brain that you can lose weight, your not starving.

Being a diabetic you need to eat small meals (I eat three hundred calories for B, 150-200 for first snack (fruit & nuts 6 or 8 walnut halves) three hundred and fifty lunch (second snack 150-200, apple, peanut butter, or celery w/cream cheese)Dinner 300-400 calories, and snack if need after 8PM glucose count, if below 100, I
will have one depending on how low it is (if in 70's for sure 87or above I may wait another hour and check again, if the same or lower I will have some veggies & 1 or 2 oz of meat.

How did I do it?...

I journal what I eat staying between 1200-1400 Calories.

1 day a week, I don't count my calories

I workout, weight training, 4 days a week. In the beginning though, I only did cardio.

You can do this too!
