So it is now almost 18 months since I started SparkPeople. I've lost 43 lbs, and discovered that I can do lots of stuff I didn't think possible. I can hike, run, swim, have fun outdoors. I also have a FitBit, and I think it has really helped me get more active. Just bought a mountain bike, too. I am also confident that I won't go back to being the person I was before.

I also have a FitBit, and I think it has really helped me get more active. Just bought a mountain bike, too. I am also confident that I won't go back to being the person I was before.

I kayak now, and run. I feel so much healthier than I have in years. And my family is getting healthier too. My husband has lost 25 lbs. and my daughter is starting to lose weight and get healthier.

I have .5 lbs to go before I hit my third goal weight. When I hit my first goal weight, I bought some clothes for my new body. (Advice to others - don't spend too much on your first sets of new clothes. It's astounding how fast you'll shrink out of them, too). When I hit my second goal, I bought myself an expensive pair of running shoes as a reward! I haven't decided what my next reward is, but I kinda want a new kayak. That one may not be in the budget quite yet though. And to think I used to reward myself with food? How bizarre.
