A Journey That Will Never End!
In September of 2007 I was surfing the internet and stumbled apon Sparkpeople. I signed up right away. Then came the holidays; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years and I lived to eat. One day towards the end of January 2008 I was looking at some family photos and I was ashamed. Why had I let myself get so big and out of shape? I was on medication for Hypertension, High Cholesterol, Depression, and Gerd. I realized that I had to stop playing around and get serious. ...
In September of 2007 I was surfing the internet and stumbled apon Sparkpeople. I signed up right away. Then came the holidays; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years and I lived to eat. One day towards the end of January 2008 I was looking at some family photos and I was ashamed. Why had I let myself get so big and out of shape? I was on medication for Hypertension, High Cholesterol, Depression, and Gerd. I realized that I had to stop playing around and get serious. I had tried just about every fad diet out there with temporary success. Temporary to say because I would gain it all back. I remembered that I had signed up for Sparkpeople and decided to log on and get active on the site. I threw myself into the challenge of getting healthy. I will never “live to eat” or “diet” again. I can proudly say that I have been taken off of all of the medication. I have so much more energy. I recently participated in my first ½ Marathon and look forward to others. Although I am close to my goal weight I will never stop working towards ways of improving my life. I set my goal weight for a 60 pound loss (154) and reached it in May 13th, 2009. I made a new goal weight and now I am working towards that! I value the friendships I have made on Sparkpeople. The motivation and support has helped me tremendously along this journey and I vow to help others make their dreams come true!

My Goals:
2009 Goals: To reach new goal weight of 140 by the end of November, 2009! Long term - Keep it off!
My Program:
*At least 30 minutes of cardio daily. *Strength training at least three times a week. *Drink atleast 8 glasses of water daily. *Get atleast 8 hours of sleep a night.

Originally from Lakeland, Florida. Now residing in Oak Harbor, Washington.
Other Information:
My hubby is in the Navy and currently deployed to Afghanistan. Our daughter is also in the Navy and stationed in Bahrain. We have a 17 year old son that will graduate in 2010. We have two spoiled dogs. I enjoy church, outdoor activities, reading, watching movies, exercising, and spending time on the internet (Sparkpeople, Facebook, and Myspace)!
