Hi! I'm Cyndi!

Hello! My name is Cyndi. I'm approaching my 47th birthday! I have been a member of SPARKPEOPLE for 4years and love it!
I have been trying to lose the 10 (or so) pounds that sneaked up on me the past two years when I was pursuing my Masters degree. I recently got rid of 7 and am right around 140lbs. 5 more lbs is my goal! My goal is to maintain my weight around 135-137lbs.
I have started to run more often and biking season is upon us. I also do some weight lifting. Spark People ...

So far, I have managed to hit 1,000 fitness minutes each month this year!!
I am training for a couple 5 mile runs this summer and shooting for a possible half marathon later this fall.

My Goals:
-Get to a goal weight of 135-137lbs.
-Minimum 60 min. cardio 3x's/week
-Weight train Minimum 3x's/week
-Run a few 5 mile events
-Maintain 80-100 ozs. water/day


My Program:
I mix up my workouts with either biking or running. I add some weight lifting (mild w/bowflex for toning). I track DAILY what I eat...and incorporate as much fruit and vegetables as I can. I love Almonds as a snack...and smoothies made with skim milk, fat free vanilla yogurt and a either fresh strawberries or a half a banana. YUM!!!!

Thanks for the shoes, yes you can run too! I plan to run at least three 5k's this year, my next one is in March. Still thinking about the Danskin in May, its alot of training. emoticon

Thanks for the Goodie! I am glad that you had a good run through De Pere - don't they give away Seroogy's chocolates at the end? I am not a runner, but the chocolates might entice me to try! I have walked through the Abbey in warmer weather and it is nice and peaceful. Boot Camp is already done and the scale didn't move much, but my jeans fit better. Those last 5 lbs. are tough to drop. Stay warm on this snowy day!

emoticon I was just happy to make it. I was dead last for the first half of the race- which was ok by me- but ended up passing a bunch of folks on the second half of the race. I have 10 members of my family cheering me in so I had to laugh. They were very noisy.

Thanks for your note - I do love to walk! Just came home from a quick spin around the neighborhood running some errands, actually. :) Your friend is so lucky to have a gym in her building. I do ok though - my boyfriend's complex has a small gym, and my office also has some machines as well.
