You can do it! You are worth the time and effort it takes to keep you healthy! It gets easier over time as old habits are replaced by new healthier ones! Make sure you're finding things you enjoy so you will want to continue to do them. Add one more fruit or veggie to your meal today. Take walks with your family, you get the bonus of movement and family time. Don't eat when you have big emotions, find a replacement to get emotions out.
Don't diet! It's not a verb! Make daily choices and have things in moderation. If you tell yourself "I choose to not have this high calorie-low vitamin item" instead of "I can't have that" it gives you the power. You don't tend to crave certain things as much when you say "I choose not to" instead of "I can't". Don't beat yourself up for occasionally indulging in treats that are not what you normally have, slow down and savor every bite instead.
The biggest battle is at the grocery store. If it doesn't come home, you can't have it.
