I am expanding my horizons!

I am a principal of a large school for children of military members, a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have been married 40 years and I have seven beautiful grandchildren. It is a challenge to stay in shape and eat right while working at a stressful job, and traveling all over Europe. This is my last school year here before I return to a stateside DoDEA school.

I am married to a wonderful man, a retired pastor, that suffers from exposure to Agent Orange from two tours in Viet Nam. He now is too sick to return to Germany with me. I am blessed to have a daughter that he can live with while he gets his medical care. He is living in KY where all three of our married children and seven grandchildren live.

My faith has been tested these last nine months as I have adjusted to living alone and being self-sufficient. God has been my source of strength, peace and everlasting joy. He is my gracious, redeemer, my friend and my enduring, wise Counselor. Without Him I am nothing. He gives me purpose to my life. I am a SOLD out, unashamed conservation Christian called to work in a school setting.

Brought to you by the CML team
These lyrics sung by Hope's Call are powerful. I hope they encourage you this week.

You Are Loved

Have you ever felt the Father's love
As He holds you in His arms
When you start to say I'm sorry
He says you've done nothing wrong
Have you failed to meet the standards
That you thought you should attain
Only to hear Him call your name, saying

Chorus:
You are loved beyond your failures
You are loved beyond your past
The hope that you've imagined
Is now reality at last
You are loved with no conditions
You are loved with no remorse
The scars of your forgiveness
Are engraved upon the Lord
You are loved

Verse 2:
Have you seen your life be torn apart
By things you could not help
Until you finally reached the point
Where you could only blame yourself
Have you laid your head to sleep
And think you'll always be alone
Then awaken to His voice calling you home, He says
(repeat chorus)

Remember to stop by the team page and say hello.

When I Hear the Thunder

Sometimes at night I cry myself to sleep
After everybody else has gone to bed
Knowing once again I've gotten in too deep
And the waters will soon be above my head
And I beg of you to change the world around me
So tomorrow won't be looking quite so dim
And I awake to the waters deep enough to drown me
But through it all you taught me how to swim
Chorus:
And when I hear the thunder and I think I'm going under
I remember you're the lifter of my head
You've had a thousand chances to change my circumstances
But thank you, Lord, for changing me instead.

There are times I can't help feeling lost
Like a ship drifting on the open sea
And the wind and waves leave me pitched and tossed
And a storm begins to build inside of me
And I beg of you to change the world around me
As fear and faith are fighting for control
Amid the raging waters swirling all around me
You've become the anchor for my soul
Chorus:
And when I hear the thunder and I think I'm going under
I remember you're the lifter of my head
You've had a thousand chances to change my circumstances
But thank you, Lord, for changing me instead.
