It's About Time...

I am an active person, but not a fit person. I want to make that change from active to fit. It's not even the new year, but J am already starting on my resolutions. I am committed and ready to tackle this challenge. I ran my first half-marathon this past November and want to run more. I also want to ride my first metric century and full century this year.

I am an active person, but not a fit person. I want to make that change from active to fit. It's not even the new year, but J am already starting on my resolutions. I am committed and ready to tackle this challenge. I ran my first half-marathon this past November and want to run more. I also want to ride my first metric century and full century this year.

I haven't always been active. I have my husband to thank for helping me to discover a world of activity. When we first moved in together, I had just started a weight loss journey with Weight Watchers. I weighed close to 200 pounds at the start of that journey. I lost about 60 pounds with that effort. My husband started me hiking on the weekends and eventually helped me to start running.

I seem to always regain 10-25 pounds of the 60 lost though, and I know I've never lost as much as could. So, this go round, I want to focus more on body fat lost than pounds. I am about 30% body fat currently, but would like to a) have an accurate starting number, and b) lose at 10-12% of my body fat. I will need to purchase a reliable body fat scale.



I am embarking on this bee chapter of my life to serve as an example to my students, my god-daughter and my future nieces or nephews.
