I am here because I need to lose weight and get healthy.
In college I weighed around 120 lbs, and stayed that way until after my son was born. After my pregnancy I never lost the weight again.
I didn't track my weight for a while, all I knew is that I had gained weight.
When we moved to Ohio, I lost weight without even trying. Change of lifestyle, from the city to the country, and a lot more physical activity helped.
After a while, and a few jobs later, I found myself gaining more weight, but still did not keep track of it because I didn't have a scale at home.
Then in 2005 I went to Texas to help my mom as she recovered from surgery, and weighed myself for the first time in a while, and the scale read 168 lbs. During my stay in Texas, which lasted 2 months, I joined Weight Watchers (a gift from my mom, gladly accepted) and lost 16 lbs. I returned home looking and feeling better.
But at home I could not continue with Weight Watchers, and eventually gained all that weight back, and more.
The wake up call came when I weighed myself and the scale read 178, the most I've ever weighed.
In January of this year I started exercising more, and trying to eat better, but it's not working. I lose a pound then I gain it right back.
A week ago I found SparkPeople and immediately joined.
I'm here because I need help and support. I'm tired of being so fat, I'm tired of not fitting into my clothes right, I'm tired of not feeling attractive.
I want to feel better, I want to improve my quality of life. I want to get fit and lose weight.
Get fit, lose weight, improve my quality of life.
Wii Fit, walking, will re-introduce Tae Bo soon, and maybe alternate it with walking.

Sorry to go MIA for a couple of days. Do you have more trouble with exercise or eating right. Whatever is your weak area is where we'll set the first challenge.

Hi, I had to laugh, I was just reading your blog and thinking about what I could say to encourage you, and then saw that you answered my plea for an mp3 player.......LOL. Can you believe that one?
Well, I thank you so much for commenting, I have been pulling my hair out, and I have been checking on the sansa clip, one day I want that, the next day and ipod nano. After looking at them online and at the stores, I can't figure out why everyone is buying all the same things when they have panasonic, magnovax, philips and all these other mp3's. Are they no good? LOL
Your blog is alot of how I feel, I lost about 40lbs, which was a little over a year ago. I let myself eat because I had just moved and my nerves were crazy, well I guess before I moved is when I was even crazier and lost weight....LOL. Anyhow I have never gotten back on the wagon, and now I am working with a psychologist who is helping me get on meds that work with my bipolar and I will be feeling good again about myself.
I know it isn't similar to your story but I felt bad, for you. You have done so good and I know one day gets away and so does the next, this is why all of us have yo-yoed in the past. I will say a prayer for you, and bless you bunches. Don't be so hard on yourself it will just happen!! God Bless!
