Cute Mira is Latin for "amazing skin". Nutrition and exercise have a significant impact on the health of your skin, the largest organ in the human body. I am a health and nutrition educator dedicated to helping people take excellent care of their skin. As such, I feel it is my duty to lead by example. Therefore, I exercise and eat well to nourish my skin from the inside as well as following a cleansing and moisturizing program appropriate for my skin type.

My Goals:
Regain my the active lifestyle I enjoyed prior to breaking my ankle.

My Program:
I'm focused on strength training 3 days a week, flexibility work daily, and cardio (walking, tennis, etc) 5 days a week.

In terms of lifestyle, I ditch the car when doing any errands at locations within 3 miles from my home and opt for the bike instead.

Nutrition is and always has been a focus for me. I eat a diet heavy on whole foods - fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains and lean meats. I'm not an advocate for any extreme eating plans such as low-carb, high carb, Paleo diet, etc. "Everything in moderation" is my motto.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from San Jose, CA but have made my home Henderson, NV for the last 12 years. Learning to stay fit and active during the hot summers in the desert has been an experiment I find both challenging and interesting. I welcome any tips you might have to offer in this regard.

Other Information:
I am an avid reader, especially of nutrition and health/fitness books. I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Holistic Nutrition in preparation for a career shift when I retire.

I enjoy hiking, rock climbing and ice skating, activities I look forward to returning to now that my ankle injury has fully repaired.
