Turning 53 this year... want to feel young and vibrant again!

I have never been this heavy, even during both my pregnancies. I am sad about this, especially because I am known to be such a healthy person. I know nutrition, never eat fast or fried foods. My problem is usually portion sizes. I always say 'Ok, just a couple of more bites. It can't hurt.'

Today you have the choice to be amazing. Today you can do more than just try. You can succeed. You can be victorious. Today, you can rock your world. You can look yourself in the eye and smile... because you know that you are fighting for an amazing cause: YOU. And YOU are absolutely worth fighting for.

You can also do the same thing tomorrow.

"It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up." - Vince Lombardi

In honour of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games this Saturday in London, I give to you the Olympic Creed which is as true for the games as it is for achieving our own goals and dreams each and every day:

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."

Today, you are a superhero, a survivor, a warrior, and a beacon to others for honouring yourself, your mind and your body; for making the choices that will make you an even better person tomorrow.

Today you are one step closer, because you decided to be. Fight strong, fight well, fight fair.

"Never, never, never, never give up." - Winston Churchill

Today is the unofficial "take happiness into your own hands" day. It's unofficial because I just made it up! (*grin*) But it seems like a great idea, right? Today, try not to be controlled by others... decide to be happy, decide to be great. Move forward as if all your dreams could come true today with no barriers standing in your way. Smile, laugh, and be amazing...

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. - Groucho Marx

Glad my figuring out the frustration of what happens when I eat certain carbs might help you too. As I recall, I didn't have weight issues when i baked with coconut flour. I love the coconut flour pancake. It's low carb high fiber. I'll try that for dinner and let you know. Well, probably breakfast tomorrow, but it sounds really good for dinner right now. If you want to see recipe you have to google coconut flour pancake sparkspeople, and you'll find the recipe and the breakdown. For some reason I can't just type in sparks recipes coconut flour, so have to do it from google. I'm gonna smash a cup of blueberries and add 1 tbls powdered sugar. OMG I'm hungry. If you have probs or questions feel free to email me.

CurlyCurly - You always know how to make me feel better. Wish I could remedy your heat wave. Believe me, Texas has lots of the same. I am better this evening, finally! Some stress has been relieved, and things are looking up, and I joined a 5K Challenge and hooked up with a walking training plan. I figured by doing this, I will make myself do my cardio all the time. I find I have to have some form of accountability, or I slack off. Tonight, it was after 8:00 p.m. before it was cool enough to walk. You take it easy - heat is a serious matter when exercising. I had my time off, and you will come back like I did when the time is right.
