I want to be a lesser me!
I turned 50 in June 2007 and I need to get rid of this middle age spread. I am not happy with the current state of my metabolism, weight, shape or muscle tone. I am taking steps to improve these areas. Our new winery is up and running. Check us out at www.tigermountainwinery.com

My Goals:
Walking 5-8 miles/week Drink WATER Stay focused
My Program:
Cardio 30 minutes 3 x weekly Strength training 3 X weekly Walking every work day at least 20 minutes and using the stairs at work.
Personal Information:
I live outside Seattle and work in the downtown area. I have about a 60 minute commute every day depending on bus schedules and traffic. SInce I work 9-hour days this really cuts in to my available free time. I have done really well with low carb eating in the past, but my husband was sick of it, so I stopped. I tried the lower fat method - but it just doesn't work for me. I started Atkin's Induction again April 16, 2007 and immediately lost 10 lbs. I need to figure out a way to get a workout in my busy day and not drop the ball elsewhere. My job keeps me pretty sedentary - I review patient data for cancer clinical trials. I am at the computer all day. This with my age and lack of regular exercise are adding inches to my mid-section.
Other Information:
On top of our 'day jobs' my husband and I just started a winery in our garage. This is another little project that is eating away at my free time. We have been making wine for about 7 years and were bonded by the Feds in 2006 to go commercial. It's exciting and a little scary at the same time.
