The road to success is always under construction...

Another beginning... I have been following the Spark People for years and just maintain my weight. So, I'm going to step it up. I am using meal plans and now Spark Coach. I'm working hard to see progress.
My 6 month goals are as follows:
-to fit into the dresses my brother bought for me
-to exercise at least 5 days every week
-to drink plenty of water
-to eat a full, varied diet,thus preventing boredom
-to be more successful when eating in restuarants ...

My Goals:
I want to be able to use my body
better and harder for EVERYTHING that I do. Looking better will be a big plus too.
I will work on short term goals... every 10 pound loss is a big success.
Lifestyle change is the key here, not diet.

My Program:
Just for starters, I will be faithful in logging everything I do and eat.
I'm not sure how, but I will search for a buddy to keep me going during those bumps in the road when I swerve off track.
I looked at my tracker this morning and see I am almost 1/2 way to my goal. Persistence and doing this sensibly is what it will take.

Personal Information:
I'm Susan. I moved from Pgh, PA to Mountain View, CA almost 4 years ago. What a great move! I love it here and have a wonderful new group of friends. This means lots of gatherings always with food. I will focus on the friends. The weather is amazing all year long and conducive to outdoor activities in all seasons.

Other Information:
Writing, (putting my thoughts on paper) even this small amount is a great challenge to me, so I will try extra hard to communicate with others to reach my goals.
On the positive side, I enjoy being busy... biking, walking, contra dancing, fiddling, singing, swimming, and whatever comes up. This all should help my efforts with Spark People.
