The road to success is always under construction...

I was doing well on my weight loss journey with spark people by my side, until my doctor said that I should do it alone as a 'life style change' and logging everything is unnecessary. She sure was wrong. Enough said, I'm back to being fully engaged with spark people.
Tracking my exercise has become my favorite. It's a measureable goal and shows progress faster than my weight loss. I am able to set new challenges and be successful. This success keeps me motivated to give the time ...
I was doing well on my weight loss journey with spark people by my side, until my doctor said that I should do it alone as a 'life style change' and logging everything is unnecessary. She sure was wrong. Enough said, I'm back to being fully engaged with spark people.
Tracking my exercise has become my favorite. It's a measureable goal and shows progress faster than my weight loss. I am able to set new challenges and be successful. This success keeps me motivated to give the time needed for the slow, safe, healthy weight loss.
My 6 month goals are as follows:
-to fit into the dresses my brother bought for me
-to exercise at least 5 days every week
-to drink plenty of water
-to eat a full, varied diet,thus preventing boredom
-to be more successful when eating in restuarants
-to lose at least 30 pounds by August
-to be better fit and a lower weight for my November trip to Hawaii
-to meet fellow spark people to accompany me on this journey
-to "never surrender"

My Goals:
My goals are better, easier, movement; less joint stress; less stiffness, and more energy. I want to be able to use my body
better and harder for EVERYTHING that I do. Looking better will be a big plus too.

My Program:
Just for starters, I will be faithful in logging everything I do and eat.
I'm not sure how, but I will search for a buddy to keep me going during those bumps in the road when I swerve off track.

Other Information:
Writing, (putting my thoughts on paper) even this small amount is a great challenge to me, so I will try extra hard to communicate with others to reach my goals.
On the positive side, I enjoy being busy... biking, walking, contra dancing, fiddling, singing, swimming, and whatever comes up. This all should help my efforts with Spark People.
