Hi Everyone

I'm trying to make 2011 the year I do everything I keep saying I'm going to do and everything I've been wanting to do but never got around to doing. At the top of my list is to lose weight and be healthier which is why I'm here.

I'm hoping that I actually stick with it as it's something I keep trying to do and then my willpower/dedication fails me and I end up heavier than before and more annoyed with myself.

I tried Spark People last year but didn't really get involved in the forums or blogging or making spark friends. I've tried to make more of an effort this time and it's really keeping me motivated this time so I really believe that this time will be different and that I can make the changes I need to make to my life.

Good luck to you all in reaching your goals. I'd like to be able to support others and motivate them eventually but any support is also appreciated. I'm so excited about this journey and about getting to know you all!!

My Goals:
My goals this year are:

* Lose weight
* Tone Up
* Be healthy and happy
* Sort my finances out
* Pass my exams
* Start Dancing classes
* Go Snowboarding
* Spend more time with
friends and family

My Program:
Food wise:
* Stay within daily calorie range
* Prepare!!
* Make healthy choices
* Eat a balanced diet

Fitness wise:
* Body-sculpt class once a week
* Circuits class once a week
* 3 gym sessions a week (cardio & strength training)
* Swimming once a week
* 30 day shred DVD 5 times per week
* Yoga in the evening to chill out and unwind

That sounds like a lot of fitness! I think if I can regularly do at least 75% of that I'll be happy and should see results.

Personal Information:
I'm Hannah from Wiltshire in the UK.

I put on a lot of weight whilst at Uni mainly from snacking and making unhealthy food choices and not exercising. I'm also an emotional eater so if I'm stressed I'll pick up something yummy but not very good for me.

I've also had issues in the past with depression and this hasn't helped because I've thought "what's the point?" But so many people have said to me on here that I am worth it and I CAN DO IT.

And I'm really starting to believe that I can!

I try to go to gigs, festivals etc. when I can. This year I'm going to see Russell Howard Greg Davies and the Foo Fighters so far!

I work in finance for a charity at the moment but I'm studying part time for a Masters and I'm hoping to go into research and do a PhD in the future.

I'm really excited about what the future holds for me and it is so good to have got to this point and to feel that and not like a failure anymore.

    164?? GREAT JOB GIRL! You totally passed me up! Im at 170. I feel a lot better than I did, but still have a long way to go! I am dieting very well and not even struggling with it anymore. It is like a life style change for me, not even really like a diet. I enjoy feeling like I am eating healthy! I just can't seem to find the time or motivation to work out. I haven't worked out in 2 months. I know that when I do, this weight should fall off even faster, but I just feel so tired after a long day of taking care of my son. I feel like I have the time, I just dont make the time to work out. Do you work out? Do you have any tips for me girl?

    Saw on the Snowmen WI thread you gained a little and wanted to give some encouragement. It sounds like you had a rough week! Don't worry about the gain. (I gained 2+ lbs last week myself.) We'll do better this week. Hope you're feeling better! emoticon
