With the help of Sparks and my Sparks friends I lost 20 lbs. last year. However, I fell back into the same old habits and those 20 lbs have come back. In addition I had foot surgery which sidelined my exercsing for awhile and quite honestly I have not had the same intensity that I had before surgery.I also have had some lets just say hormonal changes and been put on medication which is making the weight harder to come off. I have every diet book and subscribe to every health and fitness magazine. Too much information is not always a good thing. I am tossing the books and cancelling the magazines. Bottom line I need to learn portion control and work out harder. Last year I was running 3 miles 4 to 5 times a day. Because of the foot surgery I am running/walking those same miles but since I am experiencing some pain/discomfort I am not doing it with the same intensity. So, starting today I am cutting my portions and working out harder. I began a kettlebell workout a couple of weeks ago in addition to cardio. I am having surgery on the other foot Oct. 22 so I will have to be creative with my exercsing for awhile. I am going to Hawaii on June 1, 2011 for my 30th wedding anniversary and I really want to feel good about myself. So here goes.

Drinking lots of water and exercising...basically being healthy!

Personal Information:
Married for 29 years; I have a 27 year old son and a 24 year old daughter...oh, and a grandpuppy! I am a die hard Cubs fan who goes to as many games as possible.

Other Information:
Last year ran as much as 6.5 miles at one time without interruption (treadmill). After foot surgery trying to get back to where I was.

    hey Donna... Hope you are doing well.... I'm back at it again.
    Actually left the Cubs team, joined the Biggest loser Fans team...I see you are there too. It looks more active. Good people on the Cubs team, but just fizzling out. Starting a new vacation push...summer 2013 Mediteranean Cruise with the friends we went to Hawaii with....then my goal is back to Hawaii, Maui and a smaller island 3-4 years after that.
