I am close to the weight that I see as a healthy, feel good weight, but I am not letting the number control me, knowing that muscle weighs more than fat. I am using measurements and how I feel as tools to where I am at. I keep up my exercise routine, which includes walking and strength training.

Hi.
thanks so much for leaving a note on my latest blog. I can hardly believe how such little effort has had such a profound effect. Starting off the day in such pain was such a downer.

(Now I have to figure out how to deal with the pain that creeps in later in the day............) It's something I live with.
Could be worse.

That cantaloupe on my SparkPage--well the picture : ) --is called Northern Arizona variety. I get the seeds from Bountiful Gardens. These people travel the world and teach whole villages to be food independent, including their fertilizers, and they do it all without animals. Adding some chickens and 2-3 goats makes it even easier in some places.
As I get stronger and get my leg-lengths figured out--using shoe combinations is the best route for me, but I get asked a lot of questions!--I hope to get a quarter acre into annual garden. I have some fruit trees already, and a few nut trees, one of which needs to be moved.
