Getting Healthy in 2011

Hi! I'm Carrie, and I'm looking to finally develop a healthy attitude towards food and fitness. I got married in the middle of last year, and I'm finally starting to settle into good routines and habits.

I started running in January 2011, and but didn't get serious until March due to some personal setbacks. I ran a 5k the first weekend of March (That Dam 5k over Cherry Creek Dam south of Denver) and the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in San Diego in June! My upcoming races are the ...

My upcoming races are the Rock n Roll Half Marathons in Denver and Las Vegas in October and December respectively.

1st goal: 135 lb by June 5th for my half marathon
2nd goal: 125 and bikini shape by November for a friend's wedding in Mexico
Then maintain!

Practice mindful eating!

Know your triggers! Mine is sugar-- especially candy, ice cream, and cookies.

If you feel deprived, even after getting used to your new eating plan, you're not going to be able to stick with it.

Other Information:
I love to run, hike, camp, and cook!
