Thank you SO much for the conversion, because I've been obsessed with trying to find out my true calorie burn for bike rides. My Garmin 405 - even when set in bike mode - is ridiculously off, so I've been using SP which actually comes out very close to calculation you provided. I think what I've been more puzzled about is how burning 566 calories via running seems so much more taxing/painful/sweaty than biking it out. Or maybe I was just having too much fun tearing it up out there!

I didn't have shoulder surgery, but have had each shoulder manipulated due to frozen shoulder. I have all respect for you for having shoulder surgery. Can't wait to get to know you.

It seems you're gone from SparkPeople these days, but I'll leave you a message anyway. I was looking for some friends' results in the 2010 ING NYC Marathon, and remembered you were supposed to run it again.
