My goal is to lose some weight and stop the yo-yo dieting, but along the way I hope to learn to love myself more, get in the best shape possible before (hopefully) getting pregnant, just be happy with me. I'm just so tired of beating myself up and being just plain mean to me (that little voice in my head...). I would never talk like that to a friend! Last year I trained for and completed a marathon, but afterwards, I swore I'd never run again. After a few months, the weight creeped back on. ...

I'm motivated to start running again, especially after seeing the scale continue to move up...

My Goals:
~I'd like to get down to 180 lbs, but my ultimate weight goal is 160 (and when I get to goal, I'd like to actually figure out how to maintain!)
~Train for another half-marathon
~Learn to love BeachBody workouts, instead of them being so hard that I'm afraid to even start!
**Get pregnant!!**

My Program:
Currently running/walking 2-3 times per week with a group of friends. Also throwing in some videos like Coach Nicole's Total Body (love it!), Focus T25, TurboFire, Brazil Butt Lift, and even some Insanity (although I've never made it through a whole video).

Personal Information:
I have two retired greyhounds that are spoiled rotten!

I love to work out in my yard and gardens.

I've struggled with infertility for a couple years now, and miscarried twins after our first round of IVF. 2nd attempt resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. Getting ready for our 3rd (and potentially our last) attempt in October.

Other Information:
I love to read and have an obsession with magazines. I'm currently addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse series.

I haven't done it yet - normally I would be up at 5:30 to work out before work but my allergies were really bad and I also don't like the idea of doing 2 workouts (it's my double up day) and then rushing to get ready for work - I've also heard that the combo I'm doing today is tough on the legs - I'm going to do both after dinner tonight - then I'll have time to focus and to rest after it's done. I'm also toying with the idea of going for a run tomorrow :) How's your day going??

Hi! Just checking in to see how you are doing! How is the modification to the paleo diet going? I hope you are feeling better! emoticon

Here's an article I thought you would like.

http://balancedbites.com/2012/06/paleo-p
erfectionism.html

It's about how "paleo perfectionism" can be counterproductive. How stressing obsessively over food may do more harm than a non-paleo treat.

Everyone is different.. Some people thrive on the structure, others do not. :)

emoticon I'm so sorry. Feel free to whine all you need to to me, if it helps. Did you do something crazy like give up coffee too? Or are you normally a bagel, oatmeal, or muffin breakfast eater? Sounds like your body is throwing a HUGE sugar tantrum. Luckily for me, the change wasn't that drastic for me. My big "give ups" were sweets, (cookies, ice cream, pie) wine, and cheese. The first 10 days, I ate an apple or banana with breakfast and dinner with almond, cashew, and coconut butter. I also snacked. Apple or banana with nut butter or just nuts. I also ate sweet potatoes with breakfast and dinner. So, I guess in a way I was keeping my body's carb supply high. What are your big "give ups"? It may not feel like it right now, but you WILL start feeling better.
