I love running! It is who I am.
It took me about 2 years of running to call my self a runner. I wasn't fast and I was always reminded that I had to be waited on to finish a race. I felt that I held people back. I tried to keep pace with others and burned my self out. I didn't want to post my finish times because I felt ashamed. I don't feel that way any more and I realized that I do the best I can do. I run for me and only me. I compete with my self and not my friends. As long as I give 110% in training and on the course, I am happy! I can only be the best runner that I can be when I run for ME!

My Goals:
My goal is to better my self as a runner, tone and strengthen my body.
I am making the effort to improve my times and work on my over all speed, health and strength. Mind, Body and Soul!





My Program:
Right now I do boot camp 1/2 days per week, work and train my horses and run.
I normally run short runs on Tuesday and Thrusday. My long runs are on Saturday.


Personal Information:
I am a 33 year old mother of 3 boys ages14, 12 and 8 as well as a wife of 12 years. My life revolves around my family.

I was always active before children.
I barrel raced, High School rodeo, played soccer, ran, danced, cheered and worked on the farm. Once children came I didn't make time for me and it shows. I went from being 125lbs to 190lbs at my heaviest.

I started running in August of 2008. Since then I lost 45lbs (and gained a few back), become a marathoner.
I have completed several 5K's, one 4 mile race, four 10K's, 15k, two 30k's, 18 half marathons and six full marathons including the Goofy Challenge and my first ultra marathon (50k)

half fanatic #647 and marathon maniac #3445.

I love running, I love my family and I love my life!

Doing my best to hang in there. I made the Marathon last year. But 2 months later at my physical, my heart started going into Atrial Fibrillation and I had a 4.5 hour Cardiac Ablation surgery done to fix it. I haven't run since as I was scared. But the Doctor gave me the go ahead. Of course now I'm 40 pounds heavier than I was 2 years ago. Back to the beginning again. I couldn't get into the half in January so I'm running the Princess in February. How is everything with you?

I like your belief in running, it seems similar to how I started. My times are not what I want them to be and the thought of doing a 5k makes me nervous because of it. I will try looking at it as you have:)

emoticon The Motivator of the Day.


The news is featuring an article this morning on "Sliders", thieves who pull up along side your car at the gas pumps, slide out the door while you are pumping gas, and take your purse off the front seat of your car. Then get back in their car and speed away. Do LOCK your car door on the passenger side & keep your purse with you. Don't leave your purse in the car to go into the gas station even if no one is at the pump, they can drive up and take it in a few seconds.
