Update2... As of 11-2-11 I have made fantastic progress. I am within 5 lbs of my initial goal and well before my 51st birthday. WooHoo! I feel that I can actually strive for that "ultimate hidden goal, that I never dreamed possible after having 5 kids" of reaching for an additional 10 pound weight loss. I am making that commitment now... As of today, my new goal is to lose a total of 15 more pounds, giving me a grand total of 63 pounds lost. I will do this! I believe in myself and my abilities!
Update... As of 7-14 I am making great progress. I am down 33 lbs from my highest weight... Only 21 to go! WooHoo!. I feel soooo much more energetic and ready to finish this thing. My focus is on fitness in a fun way and trying out all those activities I thought I could never do... Biking distances, rock climbing, backcountry backpacking and more. I am ready to embrace 51 more healthy, fit, energetic and enthusiastic!
My 2011 pledge to myself...2011 here I come! I recently turned 50 and this is the year I WILL achieve my goals. This year I WILL become healthy and fit. This year I WILL make realistic goals and NEVER GIVE UP! This year I WILL FOLLOW THROUGH and NEVER SABOTAGE my success. This year I WILL track everything and JOURNAL. This year I will PLAY MORE with my family. This time I will JUST DO IT. I am ready to achieve my dreams! Never say never again. I am even beginning to enjoy exercising! I see a whole new me peeking around the corner!

I live in Boise, ID with my husband and 14 & 16 yr old boys. Our 24 yr old daughter is an avid rock climber living in Tahoe and we have 2 additional boys away in college (Ohio State and Portland State).
Some of the things I love are cooking, gardening, reading, hiking, cross country skiining, biking, yoga, camping, Biggest Loser and whatever interests my kids and husband!
Accept the risks, then reap the rewards.
