I've struggled with my weight for most of my life. I hit 250 lbs. approximately 5 years ago. I joined WW and lost 65 lbs with the support of a group of friends who supported each other in our weight loss journey (including my husband who lost 50 lbs.) I hit a long term plateau at least partially aggravated by sleep deprivatiorn and eventually dropped away from WW. Long story short, I have gained back 39 lbs.

I am excited about SP because I know it is the combination of exercise, food tracking and a supportive group of comrades that makes the difference for me. I am looking forward to this journey and appreciate that you are all out there on a similar journey.

My Goals:
Drink 8 glasses of water daily
Track my food
At least 30 minutes of exercise 6x per week
Get at least 7 hours of sleep a night.

My Program:
At 3 months, I am part of the "Lose 50# by June 21st" group. I am tracking all of my food, making sure that I work out at least 30 minutes per day and getting inspiration from all of you. I am also focusing on getting more sleep as this tends to slow my weight loss or even cause me to gain. Lately, I have been doing well with this. At this point, some behaviors changes feel more natural. I am trying to increase my repertoire of exercise options and to consistently get more exercise.

Personal Information:
I am a Native Mainer and self employed as an educational consultant. I have two children in their early 20's, a wonderful husband of 26+ years, a kitty and a standard poodle.

Hi, Crybysail I'm back online, our challenge is over and although I didn't lose the total fifty pounds I'm happy for everyones participation especially yours. How are things going for you? I'm still working at this weight loss thing, one day at a time. I will be rejoining weight watchers for atleat six weeks to really get remotivated and to get in person motivation from others, online in great. But sometimes I need people in person, and most of my family and friends around me haven't gotten it for the most part. I can't encourage anyone to go for a walk or to eat healthy for the long run, so I must be around others who share the same long term goal and that means attending meetings and coming here online to a friendly community. Keep up the great work and congrats on your weight loss :O) emoticon emoticon

Thanks so much for the comment on Couch 2 5K page -- so nice to get those kind words after getting home from the gym. I read your page and boy I am living on the sleep deprivation and all the side effects it causes. Hopefully you are past that now - I know I am praying for just 3 good hours tonight. : (

Thanks again -- keep in touch!
